Walk to School on 2/28/2018

Rising Carmel Cougars- Important Coffee with Carmel Principal Pratt

You are invited to attend Carmel Middle’s Chat with Pratt this Thursday, February 22 at 8:30am in the Carmel Middle School Media Center.
We will have two guests that will speak to the idea of changing the current bell schedule to an earlier start time, Ernest Winston with CMS Community Engagement and Janet Thompson with CMS Transportation.
Although the upcoming year (2018-2019) is set for the same start and end time (9:15- 4:15pm), this is time to continue the conversation and bring your concerns regarding this matter. For those of you with younger kids on the horizon to start Carmel Middle in the next few years, we welcome your input.

OP Demonstrates Acceptance and Unity for Kindness and Compassion Month

Dear OP Family,

Our children just got done celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, one of the greatest Americans in the history of our country, and his fight for liberty and against oppression. His dream spoke of our children being judged “…by the content of their character.”
February is kindness and compassion month at OP. This is a great time to show our family, friends and neighbors how much we love, respect and care for them. The only way to conquer hate is through love, nurturing our children to understand how important it is to appreciate our differences. OP, let’s unite as a family to show our children how important it is to love and accept one another.
An OP blue ribbon will be coming home in your child's folder. Please take the time this month to tie this OP ribbon on your mailbox or door knob to show the kindness, compassion and acceptance that defines the OP family!

Yours at OP,
Heather Bullock
OP PTA President
